The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States. It consists of four main sections:

  1. English: This section tests your grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and rhetorical skills. It includes 75 multiple-choice questions and you have 45 minutes to complete it.
  2. Math: This section tests your mathematical knowledge, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. It includes 60 multiple-choice questions and you have 60 minutes to complete it.
  3. Reading: This section tests your reading comprehension skills. It includes four passages and 40 multiple-choice questions. You have 35 minutes to complete it.
  4. Science: This section tests your critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills. It includes 40 multiple-choice questions based on scientific data presented in graphs, tables, and passages. You have 35 minutes to complete it.

In addition to these four sections, there is also an optional Writing section, which tests your ability to write an essay in response to a given prompt. This section is scored separately and you have 40 minutes to complete it.
